Hey world, meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Abdelkader! What a day! What an event! What a PARTY! Justin and Julie gave me everything I could want as a wedding photographer…beauty, love, emotion, easy going personalities, happiness, beautiful details, and a big old massive party. Also, a lot of champagne on my camera…which, by the way, was pretty hilarious (scroll down to see images).
We started the day at the Motor City Hotel and Casino (hello gorgeous window light and beautiful bright colors). Laura headed off with boys around downtown Detroit and I hung out with the girls at the Detroit Institute of Arts. We all came together for their amazing rooftop wedding at the Detroit Opera House. After playing around the city a bit with the bridal party, we finished up the night at Eastern Market (ummm, coolest reception venue ever).
So many talented people worked to make this incredible event…well, incredible. Huge props to them. And as always, thanks to my loyal, funny, and awesome second shooter, Laura Finley.

It was a surprise pop, and you have to give the boy props for his quick reaction. Better to soak the photographer and videographer than the bride, LOL! I love the progression of the faces of the bridal party!
For all you Detroit Red Wings fans out there, you’re welcome for the eye candy.
