November 16, 2011I know…you want to squeeze her, hate her for her beauty, sign her up for America’s Next Top Model, and elect her for president of the Hot Club all at the same time. This is my Hayley. Yep, MY Hayley. I’ve known her since a week after I moved to Michigan four and half years ago. And now, she is all grown up and a high school senior.
The truth is, there is more happiness, kindness, wisdom, and funness (I’m going to stop apologizing for my made up words) than I have ever seen in a girl this age. She is beyond special and has a beautiful soul to match her beautiful face.
I have photographed her before (here and here) and I have mushed about her just as much. I love you Hayley! Happy Senior Year!!!

September 8, 2011How often do you get a longboard, a Chickolaterie, apples, a chicken, bright red lipstick, and a most beautiful and fun senior all wrapped up into one high school senior shoot? Uh huh…let me see you beat that combination.
Everyone loves a girl that can rock a longboard…
Anyone who can make apples look this fabulous is meant to be in front of the camera, no?
Our location (THANKS GARY) was straight out of a storybook. Amazing.

Off to the Chickolaterie. Don’t ask me what it means, but it sure looks cute…and sounds an awful lot like chocolaterie…
Porcelain skin and red lipstick. LOVE.
Eek! Someone escaped from the Chickolaterie! Chickens…it’s ALL the rage at senior shoots these days…

June 7, 2011Sofia, Sofia…lovely Sofia. A foreign exchange student from Mexico. Hair that looks amazing even in CRAZY winds. So beautiful on the inside and out. I met her last year and am so sad to see her time here in the United States end, but am so excited to have crossed paths with her and wish her the best of luck in her adventures back home in Mexico.
And, as a special little bonus to me, I was able to meet Sofia’s sister, Valeria, and we took some shots of the two of them together that make me smile and want to shed a tiny tear at the same time. Love you girls!
