Just a pretty little girl in big ol’ Detroit…

Martin and Heather came all the way from L.A. to celebrate their wedding. I first met them at their engagement shoot in April and am still giggling about poor Martin claiming Michigan was practically arctic compared to their California home base :) Their day was full of beautiful events and details, and I was honored to have captured for them. Congrats Martin and Heather!!!

Candy Table- Michigan Candy Buffet
Reception: Westin Hotel

My relationship with David and Erica started on the campus of University of Michigan. I walked away from their engagement session thinking, “They are two of the nicest people I have ever met, and holy moly, they are two of the most fun and easy people I have ever photographed.” Their chemistry and love is ridiculously obvious to anyone around them and it is an honor for me to have captured their engagement as well as their perfect wedding day. Congrats to the beautiful couple!

Ceremony: St. Anne, Detroit
Reception: Inn at St. Johns, Plymouth

After the ceremony, we headed to downtown Detroit to photograph the bride and groom and bridal party.

This is one of my favorite shots of the day and is also where David proposed to Erica (Campus Martius).

Can you say, PHOTOGENIC????

Mmmmm, another fave.

I told my assistant, Laura…DAAAAANG…David knows how to work the camera!

And, onto the party!!!

Because I hadn’t met Phillip and Martina before the wedding day, I had no idea how it would be to work with them. It took all of 2.5 minutes of photographing them to love them and feel their pure happiness and joy. What a lucky girl I am to work with people like Phillip and Martina. Congrats to the very happy couple…and their beautiful little girl!!!

I couldn’t stop taking profile pics of her. I mean…just look at her profile!

Phillip and Martina’s little girl, Peyton, was the cutest accessory of the day :)

Best sexy/beautiful/sassy face ever!

Handsome Phillip waiting for to see his bride for the first time…

Their First Look was perfect and romantic and took place in the perfect setting…the Riverfront in downtown Detroit. For those reading First Look for the first time and scratching their heads in confusion, this is where the bride and groom see each other for the first time before the ceremony. We set up the meeting place, the groom’s spot, and then the bride comes to her groom. The moments after she taps his shoulder is one of the most romantic, beautiful things I could ever photograph. I love what happened here…

Detroit makes a pretty sweet backdrop, eh?

We had the city buildings on one side, and then we turn around and have the city line and water on the other. AHHHHH-SOME!

I seriously gasped when I saw this on the back of my camera. She is so stunning I can hardly stand it…

Little Peyton. I want one of her. Just like her.

Their day started at the lovely Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church in Detroit. This church was one of the most beautiful churches I have ever photographed at.

Sigh…love Hans and Lauren in this.  The sun peeked out for just a few moments, and we quickly took advantage.

Equally love them in this…

We made a quick pit stop at the Inn on Ferry Street in Detroit…

And then we moved on the the reception…held at the Piquette Ford Plant in Detroit.  Wow.  I told Lauren that if I could do my wedding reception over again, this would be place.  And to top it off, they had amazing taste in decor and ambience…

What?!?!?  I was in awe of this “detail” at the reception.  Kris from Artcasters starts with a blank canvas, and then continues to paint throughout the evening, until he finishes the painting, and then GIVES IT TO THE BRIDE AND GROOM!!!  Best. Idea. Ever.

The guys from Startrax were some of the best DJ’s and entertainers I have ever worked with at a wedding…

First dance as bride and groom…

And, then it’s time to PARTAY!!!

Congratulation Jason and Danielle…I feel honored to have captured your amazing day!

A Travis capture…one of my favorites of the day.

Hello handome Jason…

Hellllooooo stunning Danielle…

I first met Chris and Amie back in April for their engagement shoot. I knew their wedding day was going to be fabulous. Anyone that will lay on the floor and let me stand on a ladder right over the top of them is awesome in my book. So cool and easy to work with. Congrats Chris and Amie!!

Gasp!  Amie…you are STUN-NING.

Rooftopping!!!
