First comes love (the day before), then comes marriage (wedding day), and then comes THE DAY AFTER!!!! This post wedding shoot wrapped up our time spent with Brett and Erica. All wedding day stress and nerves were gone and we all just had such a great time during this shoot. Adios Mexico!

One of my favorites…Another favorite!

Sigh…another favorite.

Ok, who I am kidding.  I love them in ALL of these!!

Who wishes they had a picture just like this of them on their wedding day?  THIS GIRL!!!  Erica…stunning.

Round 2 of Brett and Erica coming at you. This time it is the wedding day. Heaven in the Riviera Maya that day…

This shot…the one of the groom seeing his beautiful bride coming down the aisle…gets me EVERY time…

Pinwheels and yellow dresses…LOOOOOOVED it!

One of my favorite images of the day…

Oops…another favorite…shot by Travis…

Inspired by an image my friend, Laurel, took in a wedding I shot with her in Mexico last year…

I was a little obsessed with the covered-jungle-beds-on-the-beach.  I read there, napped there, and of course, brought my bride and groom there…

Brett and Erica know how to put on a good beach party.  The last shot of the night was Travis and I are our awesome bride and groom.  A little blurry (we’ll blame it on the alcohol, Dane), but I love it!!

brett and erica…in mexico!

Ok, Brett and Erica…I’m ready to head back to the Riviera Maya, soooooo, just let me know when you’re ready and I’ll follow :)

No, really, Travis and I had the most amazing time with this gorgeous and equally fun couple.  Loved their location, loved their friends, loved their family, loved their wedding, loved THEM…times one hundred.

The wedding day is coming, but I just wanted to share a few of these two the day before.  Just hanging out on the beach…

Loooooove the tiny touch…

Travis rocks and captured this next series of awesomeness…

workshop and soak the bride

February 16, 2011

THANK YOU for the amazing response for the launch of our workshop!!! We appreciate the support from everyone and are so excited for the attendees who have already signed up. We are down to our last three seats, so if you are interested in the workshop, please visit our workshop website asap!

Moving right along. These are the last images from Bernardo and Tracy’s wedding in St. Thomas. This is beautiful Tracy the morning after the wedding…trashing her dress. I’m not 100% sold on the title of “trash the dress” session…it just sounds…kind of…well, trashy. Soak the bride? Garbage the gown? Wet the dress? Dirty the apparel? Drown the girl? Those are definitely not cutting it either. How about if we just go with The Day After :)

bernardo and tracy…married

February 11, 2011

Tracy wasn’t kidding when she emailed before the wedding and said “We consider you and Travis part of our extended family at the wedding.”  After the first day, I think WE weren’t even sure if we were the photographers or the family at Bernardo and Tracy’s wedding in St. Thomas.  We quickly found ourselves hanging out at the pool with the family chatting it up with Uncle Juan in Spanish (well, Travis was doing the Spanish chatting…I no speako Espanol).  I absolutely love the emotion and intimacy that comes along with having a small group at a destination wedding.  Just a group of very best friends and family…spending time together…in a ridiculously beautiful place.

Thank you, new friends…for being such a great group, and THANK YOU Bernardo and Tracy…for looking so hot on the beach.

While I was with the girls getting ready, Travis was capturing one of my favorite groom pics ever!

Tracy…are you kidding?  STUNNING.

Annnnnnd, apparently, it’s time to get this party STARTED!

bernardo and tracy

February 9, 2011

Too much warmth is never a bad thing.
St Thomas is beyond dreamy and I am definitely going back soon.
Sigh…Bernardo and Tracy are SO in love.
Need a new sundress…and a tan…before I go tropical again.
Tracy was the most beautiful beach bride.
Why are my pants fitting tighter? Dang all you can eat resorts…

Oh, what’s that? I must be daydreaming out loud again. Ok, back to reality. The reality is that I am so happy that Travis and I had the opportunity to document Bernardo and Tracy’s beautiful wedding in St. Thomas. The other reality is that despite the horrid temperatures here in Michigan, I love Michigan and am happy to be back. We have some super exciting things coming up (the first is to be announced on MONDAY), and life is….wonderful.

Enjoy a few images of Bernardo and Tracy…pre wedding style. We had a few minutes before the rehearsal dinner and took advantage of the beautiful light and location! Wedding images coming soon!
