August 31, 2012ryan and sarah…newlyweds!
August 29, 2012Ryan is my brother in law. Ryan was my good friend long before I even met Travis (my hubs). I adore Ryan like crazy. Sooooo, I was a little freaked when he says “I am dating a girl named Sarah, and oh yeah, we are getting married next month.” Ok, so it didn’t happen quite that fast, but it was fast. Who was this girl who was sweeping into the family and I had never even met her? Skeptical? You betcha.
So, they did get married, and we sadly weren’t able to attend the out of state wedding. When we headed home to visit this summer, we were finally able to meet this brother-in-law-stealing-girl I had been hearing about. And, I loved her. Instantly. She is funny, sweet, amazing to Ryan and his girls, and all around perfect for Ryan. And a perfect fit into our family.
Ryan, I love you like always. Sarah, I love you as a new sister. And, I TOTES love you guys together :)

joe and megan…engaged
August 13, 2012Wait….wha??? Megan’s getting married? I just did her HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR pictures!!! Well, it turns out that time is flying by faster than I thought and that it has already been three years since I photographed her. It also turns out that she is marrying Joe, who is super rad and I highly approve of for Megan ;)

pressure
August 9, 2012Not gonna lie, it’s always a bit of pressure when photographing other photographers. It’s even more pressure when you know they drove five hours to have you photograph them. But, then you get over it and realize how excited and grateful you are to photograph such beautiful and ahhhhhhsome people. Nicole is a photographer up yonder in Northern Michigan and can see her eye candy here. Nicole, you and your family rock. So happy to have crossed paths with you :)
martin and heather…married
August 7, 2012Martin and Heather came all the way from L.A. to celebrate their wedding. I first met them at their engagement shoot in April and am still giggling about poor Martin claiming Michigan was practically arctic compared to their California home base :) Their day was full of beautiful events and details, and I was honored to have captured for them. Congrats Martin and Heather!!!

Anyone who has turned on the radio in the last six months has heard this One Direction song. Why am I singing it for you now? Because I can’t stop giggling as I think about the entire Willard family getting their photogenic on by singing this song together. And dancing. Needless to say, I was thoroughly entertained the entire session.
I’ve been talking to Kelli and Shane via the internet for a long time now, and we were finally able to meet for the first time during my trip to Utah. They are the kind of people that make you feel like a better person just for crossing paths with them. What a cool, awesome, rad, fantastic family. And they have awesome clothes :)
