This makes me happy today. My boys. Sunshine.
All that is missing is some chocolate. For me…not them. Just to clarify.
Hands down, canvas gallery wraps are my most popular product. They are are beautiful, unique, and contemporary. However, I also understand they can be pricey and therefore a lot of people miss out on their awesomeness. Soooo, for the first time EVER, I am offering a gigantic ol’ sale on canvas gallery wraps. From now until 8 pm on Thursday, March 11th, all canvas gallery wraps are 50% off. Um, yeah, that’s huge. This sale is good for anyone with a current pending order or anyone who has had a session with me in the last two years.
Sale is only good until March 11th, so contact me asap at jean@jeansmithphotography.com if you are interested.
Moving on to a recent shoot with a most beautiful momma to be and her beautiful family!

Don’t mind me…I’m just sitting here wallowing in my own self pity that I am not in Las Vegas at WPPI…a gigantic annual photography convention. I hear of everyone packing up and leaving…without me. Wallow. The past couple of years were fabulous, but the timing just wasn’t right this year. Wallow some more.
Next year, Vegas…you are mine.
Moving on to brighter things. I loved everything about this newborn session. Enjoy his sweet tininess with me (wallowing no more)…

I had to post a few of big sister. She is one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen…

One of my very favorite ages to photograph…six months…they have their sweet little personalties AND they aren’t mobile yet. PERFECT for pictures.
This is the first time I met this little one…the last time I photographed their family, she was still swimming in her momma’s belly…

Big brother is hilarious…I think he kinda likes the spotlight…

The last time I saw this little guy was when he was a newborn. Isn’t he just precious?

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to shoot their wedding in August. These two are beautiful and amazing. Nuff said. They rock.
Thanks to the Chocolate Bar Cafe in Grosse Point Woods for letting us use their ADORABLE shop.

And moving on to the Hunt Club where Lucy the horse made her modeling debut.

And last, many thanks to Da Edoardo Ristorante and Trattoria for the use of their beautiful restaurant.
Regret is one thing I never want to have. Especially when it comes to my family. I vowed to never be that person that looked back and wished I would have spent more time with my children…more time with my husband…more time laughing and enjoying life. When I stepped into their home last week, my heart was beyond happy as I watched and documented a family who were so obviously happy to be with each other. They laughed. They played games. They teased each other. Mom was bursting with pride as she watched her son play guitar. I LOVED spending time with them and I thank them for reminding me to just enjoy life, enjoy my family, and know that every phase of life holds something fun and beautiful.
Um, bet you can’t guess who the class clown was…
These people play a mean game of UNO. I’m talking money bets, victory dances, hours of play, and trash talk. Good to know that UNO can and always will have a place in our home…no matter the kids ages…

Um, anyone else DYING over her room? Honestly, the cutest room I have ever seen. What an adorable girl with a wicked sense of interior design…

And…we finished off the session enjoying the amazing talent of this guy. Seriously. RIDICULOUS talent.

Moving right along with my daily post this week! So what if it is 12:04 am the day AFTER I was supposed to post this. Back off…I’m a little delayed…and apparently a little grumpy. So, I guess that is my cue to sign off and go to bed! Happy Tuesday…er…very early Wednesday morning!
I completely adored the entire session with this guy, but this is where it got PRECIOUS. He got super sleepy, but I got my favorite shots…

And this is where it got even more precious. Brother was super tired and getting sad (he was SO done with me), so big sister stepped in and started comforting him. I admit…I think I teared a bit…

This week over at iheartfaces, the weekly theme is “hilarious outtakes.” i definitely have a few of those, but this one remains one of my favorites.
little: yikes! face plant into my brother’s lap!
big: sweet! lunch break!
