brrrrrr

October 31, 2008

meet my friends kirstynn, joel, and their daughter, nora. these brave folk braved what i dare say is the coldest session i have ever had. where the icy winds came from, i will never know, because today was beautiful and sunny. that’s michigan weather for you…

brrr mom…i don’t want to take pictures…too cold…but my leggings and tutu are so cute…

if i run, i stay warm, and therefore i am happy!

things i learn

October 28, 2008

i feel there is always something to be learned from every session. sometimes it is technical, such as lighting or settings. other times, it is small, simple things. for example…

i learn that there is always a crowd pleaser in every family…betcha can’t guess who in this family…

i learn that as a mom of three boys, i get my fix of girls by photographing little beauties like her…

i learn how easy it is to be baby hungry when i hang out with little ones like this…

and i learn how to contain twin boys for family pictures! i love these little guys!

beauties

October 24, 2008

i did a session with these little ladies this last summer, and now they are back for their fall pictures! i can’t say enough about these wonderful girls, so i’ll let the pictures show their super cuteness…

keepin it real

October 21, 2008

i should do an entire post on outtakes from my sessions. i love them dearly because they show real life (and they make me giggle). it’s true, folks…the secret is out…things aren’t always plums and fairies during a session.

i hope the parents don’t mind if i post a few of these outtakes from their session as it displays perfectly what my friend kirstynn calls “keepin it real.”

oh, and i had to add some “real” ones in as well. you know…to keep up appearances and all…

seniors and love

October 17, 2008

hmmmm…my title was actually referring to more senior pics and a wedding, but as it seems the love part will work for both…

remember these two seniors from my last post? well, i showed up to r’s session and he informs me that my next session after him was with his girlfriend of two years! what the?!?!? i couldn’t wait to meet her as i was so excited to tease her about her boyfriend! they were both so fun, super cute, and willing to do any of the crazy things i asked them to do… a match made in heaven.

speaking of matches made in heaven, we have anotha one right over here! love, love, LOVE these two. here are a few images from their amazing wedding day…

October 14, 2008

October 10, 2008

monster of a monster post

October 8, 2008

here i am again with a gigantic post full of sneak peeks! one of these days, i will change my ways and just post daily so i can spare your poor finger from scrolling down with that mouse. but, until then, let’s have a peekers at who i have had the pleasure of hanging out with the past few days…

an amazingly hot and fun senior…

a momma-to-be…

an itty bitty 9 day old little boy…

a wonderful family …

and, last but not least, my fabulous photographer friend, heather mickey. i actually photographed her family back in august, but just barely finished her pictures and wanted to share her super cute family…

October 3, 2008

blog headers and babies…can’t forget the babies! here is peeksie from a recent newborn session. hmmm… looking at these pictures, i just realized that there was a lot of color going on in that newborn session…not usual for me…but i love it!
