When it comes to my photography business, my two favorite things are shooting and editing. I loooooove to edit. Just not 800 pictures. I deliver between 500-800 images to my wedding clients and just the THOUGHT of all of the hours I used to spend editing those images makes me slightly ill to my stomach. I found out about Fotofafa, tried them out, and have never looked back. I now edit 25-50 images for my blog, and ship the rest to Fotofafa to work their magic. No longer do I spend hours and hours and hours and hours editing images.
I always tease that I am a “lazy” photographer and want convenience. I absolutely love that Fotofafa sends me a flash drive to send in my images and keeps sending me replacements so I always have one on hand. But, my very favorite part is that they send me some online edited proofs of my images and I can approve the editing or request changes until I feel like it is a perfect fit for my editing style.
I love to give shout outs to companies or products that not only make my life easier, but offer an amazing service or high quality product. Huge thanks to Fotofafa for providing that to me. And a huge thanks to Fotofafa for being one of our rad sponsors for our workshop. If you would like to learn more about our last two workshops of 2012, please visit our workshop website. We just had so much dang fun in Las Vegas, I keep posting more and more images! First it was the beautiful bride and groom, and then an adorable family, and finally, our gorgeous engagement couple. All models were photographed at our two day Las Vegas workshop. If you would like to learn more about our last two workshops in 2012, please see our workshop website. Enjoy!
Yep, that’s me in the middle of the street in Las Vegas getting the above image. The THINGS I will do to get my shot. At least one of our attendees, Leisa, seems to be watching my back. She must be right in the middle of telling me I will be death-by-car in about two seconds. Taken by Laurel Hogge.

Wow. 2011 has come and is almost gone. I can’t believe it is already time to look forward to 2012! So, with 2012 in mind, let’s talk workshops! To answer the questions we have been receiving…Yes, we will be holding workshops in 2012 (2-3 at the most). Yes, we will be taking the workshops to other states. No, we do not have exact dates yet, but will be announcing workshop dates and locations toward the end of October. And yes, they will be SO VERY awesome!!!
Our September 2011 workshop was, well, just fabulous. We feel so blessed to be working with and teaching such special and creative people! Thank you to our attendees, our staff (Ken Duffy, Brittni Schroeder, Cortnie Steoger, and Laurel Hogge), and of course, our VERY favorite companies that have been so gracious to support us and sponsor our workshops. You can click on any logo to be taken directly to their websites.
Hey hey! The countdown to our workshop is on…only 10 more days! We are so, so, so, SOOOOO excited! The workshop has been full for a while, but we have decided to open up 2 more seats to the September 16th and 17th workshop. Waiting list folks have been emailed, but the seats are available to anyone, so please contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Travis (email@example.com) if you are interested.
Speaking of the workshop, check out the location of our workshop below…the old LaSalle Winery building in Farmington. EEEEK…I love it! I wish I could tuck it in my pocket and call it my own, but alas, our friends at Door 2 Studios hold that honor. They have been amazing to work with and we are so thrilled to have them as a workshop sponsor and hold our workshop there! Door 2 Studios has recently announced that they will be renting out their studio space to local photographers. That is a huge bonus as local studio space rented out on an hourly basis is hard to come by.
In celebration of their opening and in honor of our upcoming workshop, Door 2 Studios is giving big. For every 50 “likes” on their Facebook Page by Monday, September 12th, they will be giving away a free Point ‘n’ Shoot Membership, along with a free 4 hour block of studio time in Studio A. Not a photographer? You can still join the fun! Out of those who “like” their Facebook page, they will be randomly choosing someone to receive a free photo session by one of the three photographers who own Door 2 Studios. FREE STUFF ROCKS, so go “like” our friends on their new Facebook page!
